My first finishes of 2017

I have managed to get a couple finishes done this year!!

This is a Cloudsfactory piece called I Cross Stitch-Quote.
I stitched this on white 28 count linen with DMC threads.
Started 1-1-2017
Finished 1-3-2017
Had this frame in my stash, I think I paid $1.91 for it!!
All I had to do was paint it black.

This was my second finish for 2017.
Blackbird Designs-Ladies Prim Society Kit called "Tis the Season"
sewing bag.
Stitched on 36 count Blackbird Nest by R & R with overdyed threads
included in the kit.
Started 12-25-2016
Finished 1-9-2017

This is the back of the bag.

 And the front.
This bag turned out pretty cute.

This is my third finish for 2017.  I started this piece back in 2008 or 2009 one of
my WIPS.  Trying on getting some of them done.
The Drawn Thread-The Wayward Garden.
Stitched on a mystery 32 count linen with DMC.
Finished 1-11-2017

I have been busy sewing project bags.  Here are a couple of bags
I have for sale.

The front of the bag has vinyl so that you can see what is in it.
This is a standard size bag which is 11 x 13 inches
Works quite well with full size patterns.
Also holds linen and threads.

This is what the back looks like.

 Another bag. Farm theme.

A view of the back fabric.

This is a cute little flossie bag.

 Again the back view.

I have a Facebook page--Madebymamajoan which has all the bags I have available.
I also do custom orders of different sizes and themes.
Stop by and check them out.

I also just posted a new Flosstube Video--Queen of Quite A Lot!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day:)

Last stitches of 2016 and a new stitch for 2017

I wanted to post the last stitches and finishes of 2016.
Here they are:

I stitched this piece called Holly Jolly Soul by With Thy Needle and Thread last January.  It was my
first stitched finish of 2016.  But I just did the final finishing in December.  I think he turned out
quite cute.

I stitched this piece after seeing Carolina Stitchers pieces.  This is a Sue Hillis Design called Peace
from 2009 JCS Ornament magazine.
Started and Finished 12-18-2016

I received this Lizzie Kate kit from one of my stitching buds last year for Christmas.  Decided
it should be stitched and finished for this year.
Lizzie Kate - Jingle All The Way.

Pineberry Lane - A Sprig of Holly from Punch Needle and Prim Stitcher magazine.

Another piece I stitched at the beginning of 2016. This is a Abby Rose - Share the Joy of Christmas.
I found this frame in my stash, a thrift shop find, just had to repaint it.
I think this one turned out pretty good too!

Little House Needleworks -Blue House in Winter from the 2016 JCS Ornament magazine.
Stitched on 28 count coffee dyed linen with DMC.
Started 12-22-2016
Finished 12-24-2016

I finished stitching this Shepherd's Bush stocking earlier this year for my son-in-law. Again
just finished it in December.  Why rush????

The Primitive Hare - Prim Christmas from 2016 JCS Ornament magazine.
Stitched on 28 count Fabric Flair Snowflake linen with DMC.
Started 11-13-2016
Finished 11-14-2016

This piece was stitched in 2011!!!!  Just decided that is really needed to be finished.
Not real sure of the designer.

Another ornie from the 2016 JCS Ornament magazine.
The Little Stitcher - Blue Snowman.
Stitched on 32 count Natural linen with DMC.
Started and Finished 11-27-2016

There may have been a few more finishes for 2016 that I didn't record.  If I get myself organized I may post them also.
I did have 65 finished for the year!

Now here is my first start and finish for 2017.

Cloudsfactory - I cross stitch quote.
Stitched on 28 count white linen with DMC.
Started 1-1-2016
Finished 1-3-2016
Hope to get this framed in the next day or so.

So as I say almost every year I want to be better at posting because I use my
blog as a log for myself to keep track of what I do.  Not sure I will do that but I
will try my best.

Happy New Year to everyone and I hope 2017 is wonderful for everyone:)
