Some of what I have been up to....

I am again behind on my posting, so I thought I would start with these pictures of my three grandchildren. The oldest two--Jacob and Emily live in TN and they were home for about ten days in January. So of course we had a family get together and since Jacob and Emily and my two sons--Kyle and Tristan all have birthdays in January we went out for dinner.

In front is Silas, then Emily and Jacob.

Here is my youngest son Tristan and my oldest grandson Jacob comparing tatoos!!!! Not to sure Uncle Tristan is a good influence:)

Here are all the birthday kids!! Tristan who is my youngest son and Kyle my oldest with their niece and nephew--Emily and Jacob. Kyle and Jacob share the same birthdate! My SIL Donncuan also has a birthday in January but I didn't get him in the picture. So needless to say I had a busy January.

I have been quilting too. My DIL MacKenzie wanted a quilt for their king size bed. So here is a snippet of it. Can't get it all in the picture. It was a simple design but a HUGE project. Each side is about 11o inches long. A lot of hand sewing for the binding.

I made these matching pillows. I still have one more big pillow to make plus two more europeon style pillows.

Here is a close up of the 14 inch pillow I made. I am really happy with how it turned out.
As soon as all the pillows are made and it has all made it to the bed I will have to take
another picture of the whole project.

This is another quilt I made recently. My daughter Kelsey needed a baby present for a friend so I sewed this up.

I was in the Friends through Threads red exchange and I stitched up this pillow for Marie. I even dyed my own chenille. I so enjoy dying fabric and such. This is a BBD--Basket of Memories stitched with DMC 115.

In between everything else I stitched up this shop model for Country Sampler in Spring Green, WI. This is a Carriage House Sampling design called A Mind Independent and Free. It was quite a long stitch but fun. I would like to stitch this one for myself.

This was a WIP I had in my basket and I decided it was time to finish the stitching. This is a BBD Loose Feathers Peacock Pinkeep. I stitched it on 28 count gingham which I had dyed and used Belle Soie fibers: Tortoise Shell and Rose of Sharon. This is the view of the top.

Here is the side view. I just finished this one yesterday. I love how it turned out.

I just framed up this piece this last weekend. I ordered this frame from JoAnn's with a coupon so the frame was only $16. I really like the edging on this frame. I am happy with the results.

Also got my Poinesttia House framed. This frame I had in my stash. Which always makes me happy.

Lastly I sent this small stitching portfolio to Wendy Jo as a belated birthday gift.
Better late than never:)

Long time since last post...

Well here I am again behind in my posting. I am not even gonna say I am going to try to do better, because let's face it I don't. Now with that being said I have been busy just need to take some pictures and start posting. Until then I will get going with this Red Exchange I received through the Friends through Threads group that I am in.

I received this pillow from Wendy Jo last Saturday. She stitched a Istitch design called
Sew Sapphire. Well she used Weeks Dye Works--Garnet.

This is a nice little pillow for my collection. I just love it.
Thanks Wendy Jo.

I do have one project that I have gotten done and have a picture of.

I finished my BBD Loose Feathers--Summer, Autumn, Winter. I am just waiting for
a frame to come in from JoAnn's since I just could not find a frame that would
work in my stash. I have been doing quite a bit of stitching and quilting.

I hope to be posting some of my progress soon.

I hope everyone is having a great week:)
