Finished Coasters

Here are the completed coasters. They have been finished for awhile. I think they turned out great. I may need to make some
for myself. Thanks to Jill, Jackie and Lori who each stitched one
with me for my daughter Kelsey.

I have been busy with exchange stitching and my LHN RR. I got two exchanges in the mail yesterday.

I also finished the Round five Fair and Square that I received from
my daughter Melissa. I was also happy with how it turned out.

Here is a picture of the front and back.

I tried to post yesterday but I seem to always have some kind of issue with getting my pictures and text the way I want them. Is it just me or does anyone else have that problem. I would like to hear from anyone with their ideas on what I may be doing wrong. It is very frustrating!!!

Well I am going to give this posting a go and hopefully be a little more consistent with posting.

I received my Fair and Square package

Today when I arrived home I had a package waiting for me.

It was from my daughter. She was my round five Fair and Square
partner. I was quite excited to receive them. They are just great.

She also sent some goodies:

She sent a really cute bag that she made, two charms, 3 packages of crystals, a pattern to make a bag, and two fat quarters of fabric, and two cross stitch patterns.

I have been busy this last weekend finishing some things, one was the squares that I sent off to Melissa today. I will post them once she receives them. I also finished the coasters for my daughter Kelsey, I need to take some pictures of them to post.

Coasters for Kelsey

Of course it has been awhile since I have posted. I have been stitching quite a bit lately, but most of the things are for exchanges, so I can't post those until they are received. I am in about five exchanges now. So far I am just loving stitching for them. Although you do not get much stitching done for yourself!

Three of my Friday night stitching croonies and myself did decide
to stitch some coasters for my newly married daughter Kelsey.
The coasters are from the March 2008 Cross Stitch and Needlework magazine.
Here is the end result of three of the stitched pieces. You can see the fourth piece on Jill's blog. I will post them again when they are finished totally.

I also finished my second ornament for the Bride's Tree Christmas ornament SAL.

Our Friday night group is also stitching-- My Favorite Things Stitching Basket by With My Needle. So far I have the fob totally finished, the waxer pocket is stitched and the Needlebook is about a third stitched. Here is what the fob looks like:

Some of us have even ordered the "Crock" basket for the design. I am quite excited to get this finished. We have had this on our "to do" list for about 5 years!!!

Until next time, Keep stitching.

I need to Post!!

It has been awhile since I have posted. I have been busy stitching.

I had a very good MLK weekend mini retreat. It was spent with Jill,
and was very relaxing and productive.

I managed to get the first of my newest Fair and Square done. Of
course I can't post that.

Then I did get two things finished. One was my X-Stitch box and the other
was the ornament for the Brides Tree Ornament SAL.

Since I have signed up for the LHN RR, I also with the help of
Jill, decided how I was going to start my RR.

This last weekend I did manage to get my Fair and Square piece
that was sent to me by Willeke, made into a pinkeep. I think it
turned out pretty good. Thanks Willeke again for the cute square.

I did finished another pinkeep but it is for an exchange so you will
have to wait until I can post it.

Now I should go and try to get some stitching done since I have joined
a few exchanges and have a RR to work on.

Hopefully I will be posting more regularly.
Until then---Keep stitching!!

Fair and Square

Today I received my first Fair and Square.

I just love it, and can't wait to finish it off into
something cute.

I really enjoyed this exchange and now I also
have a friend in The Netherlands.

Thanks again Willeke.

Here is what I received:

Just an update

I have been busy this week getting into trouble by signing up for exchanges.

It has become addictive. Looking at blogs, exchanges and BB's.

I have been accepted to two BB's, the Legacy Embroiderers Guild and
the Stitching Bloggers Exchange.

I am excited about both. I just finished round 4 of the Fair and Square and
I am anxiously awaiting my square from the Netherlands. I am signed up
for round 5 and have my daughter for my new partner. I am just getting
ready to mail out the fob I stitched for the Hooked on Exchanging Fob exchange. I have really had fun doing these exchanges.

Now I have signed up for a LHN RR. I have always wanted to do a RR.

Plus I am doing the Spring Home and Garden exchange and the Bride's
Tree ornament SAL.

I think that will keep me busy for awhile. I also have all those other
projects I'd like to do for me and others.

I am looking forward to getting some of that stitching done this weekend, when myself and a couple other of my stitching cronies have a mini stitching retreat at my house.

It will be a great weekend.

Keep stitching!!

Time for a post!!!!

I have been meaning to post since the first of the year but have been busy with family.

We were on a family cruise and sailed out of Miami. So while in Miami I checked out a shop,
The Cross Stitch Station--www.MiamiCrossStitch.com. Here are my purchases: A Hand Painted Needle Case, A Samuel Burch Pouch, I Love Carbs pattern by Needle and Fred,
French Monogram Collection III by Twisted Oaks Designs, Little Brown House and Blackbird Sampler by Heart in Hand.

But I did want to post my first finished project. I started a new project on January 1st,
and even finished the stitching that same day. I was a small project: Carriage House Samplings-- X-Stitch. I have a box that I am going to put it in. Hopefully I will get that done sometime today and post the end result.

I also finished a UFO for my daughter Kelsey. It's a La D Da--Bless This House. I have stitched this pattern 4 times for gifts. I really like this design.

Now that life has somewhat settled down I hope to be posting more.

Keep Stitching!!!
