Ok, I have been busy since I got back home last week from my trip to the Outerbanks.
If you remember I made the trip when I was asked out there by someone I met through Facebook.
In this picture below is Stacy and myself--not the best picture of either of us. We were down by the
beach and it was very WINDY!!! And since I was not as good as Stacy at taking pictures this was
Let me just tell you I had a great time. Stacy was a great hostess. We had fun getting to know each
other and we had alot in common. It was scarey.
This is one of the great gifts Stacy had for me when we arrived at the beach house. She stitched and
sewed this pillow for me. What a great keepsake of my trip and time with Stacy.
She also had this "Stitch" lollipop and fob for me. I will need to stitch the drum that goes with the lollipop. It is a design by Hands on Design called Stitch Everyday.
This was my damages at Dyeing to Stitch. Not a lot but the top two designs I had never seen so I needed them:)
Here I am having a sip of Stacy's drink!!! I don't ever drink but Stacy talked me into tasting
her Naked on the Beach. I told my children she drove me to drink!!!
And here is Stacy enjoying herself at the restaurant. She was alot of fun and wanted to
document our trips. She was so much better at that than me.
Again Stacy wanted to make sure I had a good time and I did.
I am so glad that I took the chance and went to Virginia and met Stacy. Now I have a great
friend on the east coast. Not everything online is bad.
Ok, so now on to some catching up. I have been doing quite a bit of stitching, probably to much to post all at once.
Here are a couple of my most recent stitches.
In keeping with my trip.
Stacy and I both stitched this piece while we were together. She had all the supplies for both of us and we both had the book!!
Honeycomb Basket stitched on 32 count linen with overdyed threads.
Started and Finished on 3-19-2015
I also stitched this piece while I was at the beach house.
Now on to the finishing. Another club kit stitched.
This was a Prim Sister's Club kit.
Started on 3-19-2015
Finished on 3-22-2015
I started this piece at the beach house but finished it after I got home.
This is Plum Street Samplers Serial Bowl Collection--Lesson One.
I stitched it on 36 count dyed linen by me and overdyed threads.
Started 3-22-2015
Finished 3-29-2015
I have a few more stitches to share but I will save them for another post.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

What a very lovely time! How wonderful is that?!?!?! I think that is just great that you met a new friend and even vacationed together! WOW! And you got to go to Dyeing to Stitch too! That's a helluva trip! ;)
Congratulations to you on your finishes! It sounded like you had a fabulous trip with meeting up with Stacy and then heading to the Outer Banks. Hmmm...I am guessing that she didn't turn out to be an axe murderer! LOL That is what my friends and family tell me when I go to meet a new stitching friend.

Lovely stitching and a wonderful visit sound like a perfect combination. I have been to Dying to Stitch. It's hard to come out of that wonderfully stocked shop empty handed.
