Lots to blog about.....

First I need to talk about the private exchange I received from Margit. She stitched and finished a wonderful sachet. I just love the smell of it. Then she stitched up a very cute valentine square that I can't wait to finish. Plus she sent a french design: Au Fil des Reves called La Maison Bleue. Can't wait to stitch it. Thank you so much Margit. I truly enjoy our exchanges. I meant to post this sooner, but I have had a very busy week.

This is what I sent to Margit. I stitched the Valentine Bird by Heart in Hand as my square for her and then finished the February Even from The Workbasket into a biscornu.

Here is the whole exchange. I made a small bag for Margit and sent some other goodies.

Then yesterday Cathy B and I went to Stitchers Crossing in Madison Wisconsin to attend a class by Lori Markovic of La D Da. She taught us how to finish a needle book. The class was called Spring Pins and Needles. We did the stitching before the class and then did the finishing in class. This is the finished product. We had a really great time. Weather was terrible on our way to Madison, trip took us 5 1/2 hours to get there and when we arrived the whole class was waiting for us. They asked if we were the girls from Minnesota, and when we said yes they all clapped and cheered. It was funny. We added to our stash and headed back for home. The trip home was so much better, took us a little over 4 hours to get home.

Here is the inside of the needle book.
Here is a picture of Diana, someone Cathy met at a previous stitching class they took Lori, Cathy and myself.

Finally, here is the finish of my Valentine. A little late, but finished!!!

Thanks for visiting.

FINISHES

Here is an ornament I stitched for my grandson. It is a freebie design from Midnight Stitching called Snowman's Quaker Christmas. I used DMC variations floss. I really like this ornament and may have to stitch one for myself.

Then I decided to do some selfish stitching. Edgar had stitched this design for the Valentine exchange on the HOE and I had to do it. So I went on Ebay and $20 later the pattern was mine. It's The Valentine Sampler by The Goode Huswife. I will be finishing it off before Valentine's day.

Another selfish stitch is this pincushion called Sarah's ABC pincushion by Blackbird designs. The book is called Thank you, Sarah Tobias. For some reason I really like these long skinny pincushions.

One last bit of stitching for me is this Shepherd's Bush Scissors Fob called Glad Tidings. It goes with a Premax scissors. Can't remember the name right off hand. Another fob for my scissors collection!!

I have also stitched for a couple of exchanges, but they have not been received yet so I will have to post them later.

Happy Stitching,

Winter 4 x 8 Exchange from Moni

I am in an exchange on the Friends Through Friends blog and we are doing a seasonal type exchange. This is what I received from Moni for our Winter Exchange. She stitched this cute "Old World Skating Tour on Ice" design from an old "Anna" calender. The stitching and finishing are great.
Thank you Moni.
These are the goodies Moni sent: some kitty fabric, star buttons, a generous piece of linen and some candy. This was a great exchange.

Winter Ornie from Laurie

on the ASO exchange.

I received this lovely winter ornament from Laurie the other day. It's a freebie from Bent Creek called "Swirlygig". She used DMC variation # 4215. And it does look quite wintery. Laurie did a wonderful job of stitching and finishing.
Here is a pic of the back, this fabric is sooo cute. It too is very wintery and sparkly. I just love this ornament.
Thank you Laurie, you did a great job.

Today I am off to my LNS for their annual Super Bowl sale. I will be going with my friend Jill and my daughter Kelsey. Can't wait!!
