Here is my collection so far of the Early Americans.

Well there is a bit of what I have been up to.  I still have quite a few more stitches to post about.
I am not very organized either.  These stitches are in no order.  I swear I am going to try to get
better about blogging as I really like to have this as a document of what I have stitched, I can't tell you how many times I come back to this blog and look up what I have done!!!!

We just had our annual retreat this last week.  It was Tuesday thru Friday.  So I will be
blogging about that very soon.
I also entered some stitched pieces in the county fair and will be picking my things up on Sunday
so there will be an update on that too.

Thanks for stopping by,
Hope you are all having a great weekend:)

Happy Stitching, Joan

Tracking my stitching....

I am going to try to keep better track on what I have stitched for the year.
So I gathered what I have done so far and did a group picture.  I know I have talked about
a couple of these things but I really want to keep a record for myself.
Here is what I have done so far this year.

This is The Wayward Garden in its finished form.
I painted this frame that I founds at a thrift shop.
I like the end result.

Last week I received two club kits.
This one is from Ladies Prim Society by Heartstring Samplery.
Can't wait to stitch this one.

This is a club piece from The Stacy Nash girls club from Country Sampler in Spring Green, WI.
Another piece I need to stitch soon.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

Another update!!!!

Again it has been a bit since I posted.  I have been meaning to do this if for nothing more than to have it documented for myself.  So here we go!!

This is a piece I stitch for one of our sons.  It is called Grow My F**ks.
It is a Etsy pattern.  I stitched it on a 28 count cream with DMC threads.
I found this frame in my stash and I have it framed, just didn't get a picture yet.
Started 1-24-2017
Finished 1-25-2017

This piece here is by Plum Street Sampler and is a Silver Needle Club kit piece called Fraktur Friends.  I stitched this on 32 count Country French Chantilly with DMC threads.  I have a good stitching bud who lent me this pattern.
Started 1-27-2017
Finished 1-28-2017

This ornie is from the 2014 JCS Ornament magazine.  It is LHN's Snowy Days.
It is stitched on 32 count Petit Point linen with DMC threads.
I saw this ornie done by Stitching Dreams and I loved how she finished it and decided I needed to do the same.
Started and Finished 1-31-2017

This piece I have finished except for the trim around the design.  So I just finally finished it off the other day.
From the Friends of Threads of Gold called Christmas of Olde.
Stitched on 36 count Flax with DMC variations.
This was an old WIP I finished on 10-26-2016

Here is a picture of  Michelle (Farmgirl) and myself.  Because of Flosstube we met up.
We got together on Super Bowl Sunday at Stitchville.  It was really great to meet her.
Who knew you could find new stitching friends on Flosstube.  If you haven't checked out Flosstube you should.  You can find my channel under the name of Queen of Quite A Lot!!

I have a few more finishes but I need to get some pictures taken.  Hopefully it won't be long before I do another post.

Hope everyone is well and Stitching!!
Thanks for stopping by.

My first finishes of 2017

I have managed to get a couple finishes done this year!!

This is a Cloudsfactory piece called I Cross Stitch-Quote.
I stitched this on white 28 count linen with DMC threads.
Started 1-1-2017
Finished 1-3-2017
Had this frame in my stash, I think I paid $1.91 for it!!
All I had to do was paint it black.

This was my second finish for 2017.
Blackbird Designs-Ladies Prim Society Kit called "Tis the Season"
sewing bag.
Stitched on 36 count Blackbird Nest by R & R with overdyed threads
included in the kit.
Started 12-25-2016
Finished 1-9-2017

This is the back of the bag.

 And the front.
This bag turned out pretty cute.

This is my third finish for 2017.  I started this piece back in 2008 or 2009 one of
my WIPS.  Trying on getting some of them done.
The Drawn Thread-The Wayward Garden.
Stitched on a mystery 32 count linen with DMC.
Finished 1-11-2017

I have been busy sewing project bags.  Here are a couple of bags
I have for sale.

The front of the bag has vinyl so that you can see what is in it.
This is a standard size bag which is 11 x 13 inches
Works quite well with full size patterns.
Also holds linen and threads.

This is what the back looks like.

 Another bag. Farm theme.

A view of the back fabric.

This is a cute little flossie bag.

 Again the back view.

I have a Facebook page--Madebymamajoan which has all the bags I have available.
I also do custom orders of different sizes and themes.
Stop by and check them out.

I also just posted a new Flosstube Video--Queen of Quite A Lot!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day:)
