A couple of exchanges, and famous or infamous???

Here is my Fair and Square exchange from Faye. She stitched "Christmas Elegance" by Milady's Needle with Belle Soie--Creme de Menthe. Faye did a wonderful job of stitching and I can't wait to get this finished into an ornament for my tree.
Thank you Faye.

This is the Fall exchange I sent to Melissa for the Friends Stitching Through the Seasons blog.
I stitched Lizzie Kate's Sampling Halloween Quick-it. I finished it as a box

Here's a look at the inside. I also included a witch scissors.
I also sent these goodies in the plastic tote. A Kelmscott Needle minder, some halloween socks, note pad, note cards, pen, buttons and beads. I really had a great time putting this together for Melissa.

Today I received my copy of Clara Ellen by Blackbird Designs. It was very exciting to see my name in print as the stitcher of this pattern. I really enjoyed stitching this piece.
Thanks Alma for letting me stitch this design:)

Well now I am off to do some more sewing. I have been making stitching portfolio's and some vinyl project bags. Check back again.

Happy Stitching!!

Stitching Portfolios ......

I have been busy sewing. I made myself this stitching portfolio out of Blackbird Designs quilt fabric from the Beach House collection.

This portfolio is approximately 13 inches wide by 10 inches high when closed. It has an antique button on the front flap and snaps closed.

Here is a picture of the inside of the bag. The inside lining is a coordinating quilt fabric from The Beach House collection by Blackbird designs. This stitching portfolio is large enough to hold an
8 1/2 x 11 inch book, plus your linen, fibers and any other items for your project.

This is the smaller portfolio version. The approximate size of this portfolio is 10 1/2 inches wide by seven inches high when closed. This stitching portfolio also has an antique button and snaps closed.
This portfolio will hold a book that is 8 1/2 x 6 inches plus your project items.

I have made up a few of these stitching portfolios to sell.

If you are interested in buying one of these please email me using the email in my profile.

WHO IS ELLA? And model stitching......

So Jill and I ran to Joann's to check out the Labor Day Sale stuff that we thought we needed. Jill wanted some DMC and I was looking at the omnigrid ruler that was on sale--50% off. Well $60 later for both of us and look what we found. A new gingher scissors we didn't even know about. Because you always have to check out the scissors when you are at Joann's.

Here they are: Ella's. Kind of funky I think.

Since our little stitching group has a "scissors pack" we only have to find 4 more. We bought the three that were at my Joann's.

What a great way to start out our Labor Day Weekend!!!!

Also I can share now that I am doing some model stitching for Blackbird Designs.
Click on the link to see "Clara Ellen" which was my first model stitch.

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend.

Happy Stitching:)

Happy birthday to my wonderful hubby.......

Today my hubby caught up to me. He is now 50!!!!
Happy Birthday David.
This picture was taken in June went our grandson Silas was born.

Here is Silas as of a week ago. He has grown so much. But what a cutie!

Here are three more of my LHN ornaments. I have one more stitched ornament to finish and just bought the newest pattern on Sunday, so for the most part I am pretty much on track with my ornaments.

I have really enjoyed stitching these ornaments and I am happy with the finishes.
I stitched up the latest Lizzie Kate seasonal fob last Friday night and finished it up on Sunday.
It always feels good to get projects done. Now if I don't run out of life before I get all my other projects done I will have it made. I should probably quit buying stash then:)
Again, thanks for stopping by. Now I am off to do some birthday boy stuff.
Happy Stitching.
