Finishing Update

I didn't have to work during the week, so I did some finishing.
Here is the Quaker pattern Margit stitched for me. I made it into a long pillow. I just love how it turned out. The fabric in the background is what I used on the back of the pillow. Thank you again Margit.

Then I finished my 4th of July Fair and Square into this pin keep. Sorry about the dark picture. This square was done by Bridget. Thank you Bridget.
My hubby and I went to a couple of garage sales and I found this flower frog for ten cents, and I found the bottom for fifty cents. Now I have a scissor frog here in Aberdeen for sixty cents.
We looked at this cabinet on Friday at an estate sale and I thought it would make a nice cabinet for all of my stitching smalls. They wanted $20 for it, well I didn't buy it but my dear hubby went back there today and got it for half price!!! I can't wait to get some stitching goodies in there. I needed something for my stitching smalls in my home away from home.

So there is a small update from Aberdeen. Thanks for stopping by.
And as my hubby says were living the dream in Aberdeen!!!!

Christmas in July---Arrives in Aberdeen!!!

Did I say I LOVE Christmas in July!!! Look at the great package I received today. I was so happy to see that it was from my stitching bud Jill. She stitched up this design from Barbara Ana called Make A Wish. I just love it. It's hard to tell but Jill added a little "glitz" on the stars.
Jill also sent these great goodies. A Holiday package of DMC, a Gingher scissors--I don't have, some Christmas buttons, green pins, the little "glitz" paillettes, which she used on my ornament, a small red tote, and a small purple storage box, pistachios, the fabric on which all my goodies are on and a picture frame with a picture of all my Friday night stitching buds. Have I mentioned that I miss by stitching Buds.....

This was a wonderful surprise today. THANK YOU Jill.

Kitty Boy in Aberdeen!!!!!

So Chastity and Ben decided to come and visit us here in Aberdeen. Well they didn't arrive until 1:30 am and I had to be to work by 8 am. They called us to let us know when they were in town so we could let them in. When Chaz came in she had Kitty Boy wrapped in a blanket!!! That was quite a surprise.

So here are the culprits and Kitty Boy. They are rebels, as we are not suppose to have pets here!!!!

And here are David and I with our Kitty Boy. It is nice to see him but he will have to return to Minnesota. That will make us sad.

Then while I was at work today David, Chaz and Ben did a little running around and returned to the apartment and couldn't find the cat. Well here his was up on top of the kitchen cabinets watching all of them looking for him......

Awesome daughter

Yesterday my favorite daughter came to visit-- and brought my cat. So now I should buy her A NEW CAR!!

Exchanges, exchanges, exchanges and a Round Robin

Here is the start of the exchanges I have received in the last day or two.

This is the All Seasons Ornament exchange from Vivian. She stitched a very cute heart and a box with my initial on it. She also sent a little note pad with my initial on it.
Thank for Vivian for this cute summer exchange.

My next exchange is from Friends Through Threads. It was a Patriotic exchange. Nancy sent me this wonderful patriotic ornament and a fob.The fob has fresh organic lavender in it from San Diego. It smells wonderful.

Nancy also sent these goodies. Some patriotic socks, a fat quarter, buttons a pattern and a cookbook. Nancy also included some red, white and blue floss that I see I forgot to put in with this picture. Thank you Nancy.

I also received my Fair and Square 4th of July squares from Bridget.
Thank you Bridget. I can't wait to get these finished into a pin keep.

Then I also received my Quaker exchange from Margit. We have been doing a personal exchange with some kind of theme this whole year. We decided on a Quaker theme and I just love this design. We also usually do some type of finished item with our exchange and Margit stitched this fob to go with this scissors. I also love the scissors. I had asked Margit to get these scissors for me and she sent them as a goody with this exchange.

These are the rest of the goodies Margit included. Some banding and some variations thread.
Thank you Margit as always you sent such great exchanges.

Today I received this fob from Cathy B. It is a great little fob she stitched and sent me since I moved to Aberdeen. What a wonderful thought. It was a nice surprise after a very frustrating day at work. I am still adapting to my new job and my day wasn't as good as it could have been. And here is the view of the back of the fob.
Thank you Cathy

Last but not least my LHN Round Robin made it back to me this last week. I really love it and can't wait to get it framed. I think it turned out very well. Thank you to all who stitched on it.

With that all being said, I just want everyone to know that since I moved I had to have all of my exchanges that were in progress sent to me here in Aberdeen. That is why it took awhile for me to post these. I am sorry for the delay. Please know that all of these exchanges are really appreciated. Again Thank You to all of my exchange partners.

And as the saying goes---Life is good in Aberdeen!!!!
