Autumn Fair and Square and Halloween Finish

I received my Autumn Squares today from Karen D. I think I will be finishing them into a pin keep. They are very cute. Thank you Karen
Then I finished my Halloween Squares this weekend. The squares are from Margit. I wanted them done by Halloween. I think they turned out quite cute.

Here's the back of my Halloween square.

Just a reminder that there are 10 days left before my blogoversary drawing, make sure to leave a comment on the October 12 posting and Good Luck.

Autumn House from Eva

I received this lovely Autumn House exchange from Eva last week. She stitched a Prairie Schooler and made a very cute thread holder.
As you can see she stitched on both sides and even stitched the word Autumn on the hanger.
Eva also sent my a fiber and some mints. She had my thread holder wrapped so cute in the brown paper with my name on it. Thank you Eva for this wonderful exchange.

Private Exchange from Margit

I received a great package from Margit yesterday when I got home from work. Margit and I were partners for the Halloween Fair and Square and since then we have become good blog/email/stitching friends. We hit it off from the start and decided that we would keep having personal exchanges. So this was our Autumn Exchange. Margit stitched this cute pumpkin from her favorite German designer--Stickspatz. Plus she stitched me a floss tag and sent some Au Ver a Soie fibers called Picasso. I have a great finish idea in my head for this exchange, now lets see if I can pull it off. I will post it when it is finished. Thanks again Margit for this wonderful exchange.

Exchanges received from me

I stitched this Drawn Thread pattern--Too Tiny Sampler for Amy V. It was for the HoE Mattress Pincushion Exchange. I have been wanting to stitch this pattern for sometime. I may have to stitch it again for myself.
These were the goodies I sent with the exchange. My daughter-in -law painted the cute needle case and I made the project bag, chicken pincushion, and the pillow.
This Shepherd's Bush Halloween bag was stitched for Nancy for the Legacy Halloween Sweet bag Exchange.
I also included some goodies. Candy of course for the Sweet bag and then a scissors, project bag, chicken pincushion, needle case, note pad and monster pen.
I really had fun putting these exchanges together.

Don't forget to post a comment on the October 12 post for my blogoversary drawing.

A Trip to the LNS

Since all but one of my stitching croonies could not make it to the weekly stitching night, Jackie and I made an unexpected trip to the LNS last night. I don't usually post what I buy but I was very excited to see that the new LHN pattern From Sea to Shining Sea was available. I naturally had to have it. I can't wait to get the chance to start stitching on it!!
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Happy Stitching:)

Halloween Sweet Bag Exchange

I joined the Halloween Sweet Bag exchange on the Legacy Board and today I received my bag.

I received this bag from Kathy C. I believe the design is a Prairie Schooler. She made a great bag and it was full of goodies.

Kathy included a zip-a-long spider, a halloweenie beanie-scarem, a monster pen, Halloween socks, some halloween wooden stickers and a treat bag full of candy. It was a great exchange. I LOVE it!!! Thank you Kathy. Oopps I forgot to mention a little halloween pumpkin/kitty ornament.

Time to get caught up

My Mattress pincushion arrived the other day from Anna.
She stitched, over one, a wonderful French design called Winter Night.
Anna added some fabric to the back, and it matches the design on the front perfectly.
Anna also sent these goodies: a pattern from Praiseworthy Stitches called The bird's Carol, along with some fabric for finishing, 2 skeins of DMC precious metal effects, a skein of Sampler Thread called Storm, a wire flower ornament and an incense holder. It was a great exchange. Thank you Anna.

My Halloween Ornament from Donna arrived a couple of weeks ago. It is from All Season's Ornament Exchange group I belong to. This is boney, you can't tell by the pic but he has lovely red eyes!!! He is very cute!!
My Halloween exchange from the HoE also arrived a couple of weeks ago.
Olga stitched this Bent Creek design and finished it into a pin keep.

Olga also sent these goodies: some ribbon, fabric, Mill Hill buttons, a thread counted and a needle case. The needlecase comes in real handy as I have a serious needle fetish.
Thank you Olga.

And lst but not least here is the Think Pink exchange I received from Chris.
She did a great job with this pin keep. I really liked the beading she put around the edge.
Chris also included some beads, fabric, a small butterfly fob, which is on my cellphone and a date book. Thank you Chris. I enjoyed this exchange.

Thank you to all of you for these exchanges. I apologize that I didn't post these exchanges to my blog sooner. Time just seems so short.

I also have some exchanges to post that I have sent. I will do a separate post for those.

Until next time, Happy Stitching and don't forget to add a comment to the October 12 posting for my blogoversary drawing.

New Gingher Scissors--Sarah

After a crappy day at work, I decided to stop at my local Joann's to see if they had the new Gingher scissors. Well lo and behold they had the new Sarah's. So I am the happy owner of a new pair of scissors. Plus I am waiting for the new Roberta's to arrive. I ordered them on Monday from Carol S and her husband Mike. Their store is Mike and Carol's Internet Store. So I ordered 8 pairs since my stitching croonies also had to have them. Right now I also have 3 more Sarah's, which are spoken for. Life is good!!!!
Happy Stitching.
