Some finishes and exchanges

I have been busy this week stitching and this weekend I have done some finishing. Here are the fruits of my labor:

I stitched these ornaments for my grandchildren. The first one is for Emily--it is a first Christmas ornament which I stitched for her brother two years ago and for my youngest son 21 years ago. I want to stitch this ornament for all of my grandchildren for their first Christmas as they come along. So far I just have two grandchildren and one on the way. The second ornament is for my grandson Jacob. So far I have managed an ornament every year for him, but this is only year number 3. I would like to stitch an ornament every year for each grandchild, at least that would be my goal, but with six children I may have more grandchildren then I could stitch for!!!!
This is a view from the back of Emily's ornament. I try to always personalize it.

I finished Emily's stocking today also. I think it turned out quite nice. Now I will have to get this stocking and ornaments mailed off to Tennessee.
I took this picture because I used a clip on cafe ring as a hanger. I always seem to have such a time with hangers and I thought this would solve that problem quite easily.

This last Monday November 30 was Cathy B's birthday and I had forgotten about it. So On Monday I started this Cranberry Deer Pinkeep by Beehive Needleworks. I stitched it on 36 count with Belle Soie silk called cranberry. It was stitched and finished by Tuesday night. Cathy didn't receive it until Friday but I did manage to get it to her in a very timely fashion.

I stitched this strawberry emery by Anita's Little Stitches for Gaby for the FTT Fall exchange. Gaby has received it but has had computer troubles so I am going ahead and posting the picture.
Here are the goodies I also sent along.

I do have a couple of more stitched pieces done but I don't have them finished yet, so that will have to wait until the next post.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stitching:)

Your finishes are lovely - I think the construction on the bonnet is especially cute, I've never seen that before!

I stitch an ornament per year for my niece, I'm glad she's an only child sometimes :o) (I quite often make one for her mum and my parents too...)

I love the idea of stitching ornaments for your grandchildren. I think I'll be doing this as well when I'll have my first grandchild.
Emily's stocking is gorgeous. And so are your stitched pieces for the exchanges.

We received these yesterday, in the mail...Jacob even put his own ornament on the tree! :) I LOVE the clips for hanging them...I was glad you sent one for Jacob's stocking (I had put a big paperclip - the ones that open up & hold LOTS of paper - on his)...the cafe clips are perfect! They're hung by the chimney!
