I am getting ready for a four day retreat but I did want to post a couple of things.
First I did manage to get my first finished stitch done for 2012. I decided to stitch LHN's Poinsettia house because I have been stalking the 2012 Year of Smalls and they decided
this would be their first "small" stitch. I am not sure I want to join the group but as long as
I had the pattern I thought I would stitch it. So it's finished and have a frame for it so hopefully
I will get it framed sometime next week.

Next I stitched a model for The Country Sampler in Spring Green, Wisconsin. This is called "A Stitcher's Purse" by With Thy Needle and Thread. I stitched the needlebook and purse designs.

Lovely new stitches. Your model stitch looks very lovely.
Very nice finishing! Have fun and tell us all about it!
Joan, you stealthy stitcher! How cool that you "joined" the fun on the year of the smalls. Now go post your picture on that blog! I'm going to Country Sampler later this month. Maybe I'll get to see your Stitcher's Purse in person. And I just love your BBD sampler - the frame couldn't be more perfect!!! (What retreat are you attending?)
Your framed piece looks perfect. Great finishes. Have a lovely weekend.
Have a wonderful time at your retreat! Am sure you will find fellowship and inspiration! Love your stitching projects!
Beautiful stitching. I love all the pieces. It is so nice to have a piece framed so you can enjoy it.
As always your stitching is beautiful. Enjoy the retreat, am looking forward to see what you have stitched when you are back.

Beautiful job with Poinsettia House. I've been lurking on that blog as well, and am about halfway done stitching the design as a birthday gift for my mother. She absolutely loves poinsettias, and picked the chart out of my stash a year ago. She probably thinks I forgot about it!
Your stitching of the purse and needlebook is gorgeous. I have that project kitted up.
Gorgeous finishes Joan!!
What a great bargain on that frame!! I'm so jealous!
